Artists admitted to FAMA festival will be invited to participate in particular sections, where they will have the opportunity to perfect their skills under the supervision of renowned professionals. They will also have a chance to present their original works and contribute to premiere projects. MAIN SECTIONS OF THE FAMA FESTIVAL
JAZZ / CLASSICAL MUSIC – Summer school of the ablest young jazzmen and musician. The participants of the section will be presented on the stages of the festival and will have daily classes aimed at improving their skills, forming a big band and string orchestra and preparing a final concert. BANDS – The strong points of the Świnoujście Festival were always concerts of the best young bands, representatives of all the genres. Having learnt the lesson of experience, we know that the bands visiting Świnoujście quickly advance to the top positions of the Polish music scene. All the bands taking part in the Festival, will perform on the outdoor and club stages, as well as improve their technique during the daily consultations.
![]() DANCERS – Daily classes for the selected group of dancers, aiming at the development of individual style and preparations of the project closing the section. The cycle is addressed to the breakdancers (and related dancing styles fields), who cannot improve their talent in the official education system. Carrying out this outdoor project is also aimed at making the festival more noticeable and to interest accidental passers-by and tourists with a whole program offer of Fama. Open shows in the promenade will be presented as well as the first-night project.
THEATRE WORKSHOPS FOR THE YOUTHS – Free of charge classes addressed to students of junior and senior high schools from Świnoujście. The aim of the classes will be to establish a team activity in space, to ponder over the essence of stage partnership, creation of reality and firing the imagination, as well as initiate the body by suggesting acting tasks. The students will be included in other festival activities. The projects objectives: Organization of the youths’ time, broadening a local offer in the artistic education field, development of creative imagination and passion of school age individuals.
PHOTOGRAPHY – The cycle is addressed to the photographers seeking the inspiration and possibility of development of their skills, which will be a supplement of the official photographical schools program. The classes will be concluded by a preview and exhibition of the photos taken during the festival.
RADIO SECTION – Supplementing the journalistic education for those of the participants, who decided to improve their skills in making radio reportage. The cycle of practical classes, aimed at the work while conducting the artistic events: commentary, broadcast, interview, criticism and objectivity, longer reportage forms. The effects of this section’s work will be presented in the Polish Radio. FINE ART SECTION / SCENOGRAPHY – The workshop addressed to the artists interested in the implementation of the stage design projects for major artistic events. The aim of the section is to supplement education and provide a basis for practical implementation of young artists' projects.
JOURNALISTS / ARTICTIC CRITICISM – The workshops are to give the participants an ability to intentionally shape the text according to the needs. By working under the direction of professional critic, they will be given a tool to construct the text and selecting its style and form. The course of the classes: a brief theoretical outline and exercises which will practice: creativity of the language and thinking, perceptiveness, ability to reach the materials. As a part of the classes, the texts concerning Fama events will be written, which will also be published in the festival newspaper and on the Web.
PRODUCTION – The aim of the project is to professionally prepare people, who intend to improve their skills in producing artistic presentations: artistic management and producer’s activity. During the theoretical classes, the main aspects of organizing mass events and cultural events will be discussed. Moreover, every participant will be assigned to take care of a selected artistic project, as well as gaining practical skills in carrying out artistic events: making rehearsals, organizing a technical backstage and coordinating all the aspects of individual presentations.
